Filtering Entries on a map using an Android Device

You can select what data is displayed in a number of ways
(data filtering). For
example, if you had
setup a project looking at the location of a number of endangered plant
species you may wish to see if others have submitted entries
for a particular species.
|
To bring up filtering options from the 'Menu' tap 'Filter'
|
The Filter menu contains those fields within
the form that are available for filtering (all form elements
except long text fields). Text fields are listed and you
can search the data by clicking the checkbox next to the
name and entering a search term.
'Select One' form elements are clickable
and allow the selection of a value (for example, using our simple demo project we select below the 'What is your age?' dropdown
and choose '41 to 50').
The criterion you use for
filtering is reflected on the map by the display of only
those entries that fulfil your filtering criterion (right
screenshot below).

That concludes our run through of how to create a project and
load and collect data using EpiCollect on Android devices.
We will now move on to the facilities available at the central
project website where you can download, view data on maps,
chart and filter all data submitted to a particular project.
