Backing up data

At any point, you can backup your data on your phone by selecting from the homescreen menu 'Backup Project' This will save an XML version, and a comma separated version of all project data to your SD card, within a folder titled 'EpiCollect+' and a subfolder titled the same as your project name.

The process for undertaking a backup is shown in the following screenshots:

Another option available from the menu is 'Email Backup File'. This will automatically attach a backup file of data and open your default email client for you to send the data to an email address.

Please note: Currently, only text data is included in this backup file, and media fields (excepting GPS and barcode which are stored as plain text) will not be included.

It is also possible to load a backup file into a project should this be required.

We will now move on to describe to the loading of remote data onto a phone.
