Collecting Data - Numeric Fields

Numeric fields allow you to specify within a form that only numeric data can be entered

When a user is presented with a numeric field, the devices soft keyboard is launched automatically allowing them to enter a number (integer or decimal based on settings) before progressing to the next question, as in the following screenshots:

As with plain text fields, if a numeric field has been set as 'required' a user is warned if they do not enter a value when attempting to progress within the form.

Within the formBuilder you can specify whether a numeric field should contain an integer or only a decimal.

Minimum and Maximum numeric Fields

Within the form Builder,a minimum and/or maximum value can be set for a numeric field that a user must adhere to. The following screenshots demonstrate a numeric field where the minimum value has been set to 10

If a user tries to enter a number below the minimum set, they are warned and can then change the value so that it adheres to the minimum criteria. The same warning procees occurs when a maximum value has been set.

To define a range, within which a user must enter a numeric value, both a minimum AND maximum value can be defined - Please see the Form Builder instructions for more information.

We will now describe a user entering a Date Field
